Helen is available for motivational, after dinner, keynote and award night speeches. Previous engagements include The Pedal Club lunch, Cycle Evesham Vale AGM, Bromsgrove District Council Sports Awards night and Bromsgrove and Redditch AC awards night.
Helen has also spoken at a number of schools, including North Bromsgrove High School, Catshill Middle School and Walkwood Middle School, inspiring young people to follow their dreams.
Helen has spoken at a number of academic conferences on sport and politics, especially trade unions and sport, including at ‘Working in Music: The Musicians‘ Union, musical labour and employment‘, and the Global Labour University Conference.

Helen has raised over £20,000 for charities. In 2015 she was part of the One Day Ahead team, which cycled the entire route of the Tour de France one day ahead of the professionals to raise £1m for Cure Leukaemia. In 2016 and ‘17 her chosen charity was The Air Ambulance Service and in June 2017 she cycled up Mont Ventoux three times in one day for this cause.
In 2018 and 2022 Helen raised funds for the West Bromwich Albion FC Foundation, which uses the medium of sport to work in communities to help raise aspirations and create opportunities for those that are disadvantaged or face barriers in life. Helen was part of the Baggies Big Bike Challenge teams.
Helen has been chosen to be a British Canoeing #ShePaddles Ambassador for 2023 and will be promoting paddle sport to try and get more women and girls on the water!
